Maui

 We have been learning about Maui and his brothers.   We did some Persuasive writing to show why Maui  was a great mythical god.

To Auckland    3.2.17

                                             Here is my first recount for 2017

My mum said we were going to Auckland  we were so excited we  pack up  to go Auckland and we zoomed to the car.

Broom broom! the car went, we zoomed to Auckland  and we saw my cousins Ashton and Adoni and my two little cousins. They got so excited that they nearly bowled me over.

We got dinner. After dinner we played and later we went to bed. We got up in the morning and zoomed out the door to go and play on the the park, we got all dizzy  so we zoomed  back to  play at home. I had a rest and then it was dark then  me and Adoni zoomed to the  fireworks. When we woke up, papa asked us if we wanted to go for a walk. We all got ready but then my cousins weren't allowed to go  because their dad said so. I asked my mum and she said yes and I was allowed. I was happy and we went for a walk, Papa, Nana and me.

One week later we had to go home. Broom broom! The car started then we zoomed back home, then into town to get something to eat because we were hungry.

It was nice to see my cousins .

This year we are Learning about Myths and Legends. Our theme is Learn from a Myth Became a Legend we had to explain the difference Between a Math and a Legend. and I chose a Legend to share with you.

Animal Report

For writing we have been learning how to write animal reports. Here is one I have written about turtles.

Turtles

Turtles are reptiles. There are three different families of turtles. Freshwater turtles, sea turtles and tortoises.

Diet

Tortoises eat plants. Turtles eat insects, snails and other small sea animals.

Habitat

Sea turtles live in the sea and freshwater turtles live in lakes and in burrows on the land.

Appearance

Turtles have green shells and light green waterproof skin. They have little white dots and sharp nails. They have a head poking out between their two shells.

Turtles are being hunted for their shells.
