Graduation Dinner

This Tuesday I went to the graduation dinner it was so amazing only i went though because my mum was busy doing stuff. But it was really fun I arrived at the ruby club and I went upstairs to go play with the others and people were still coming  .So we waited for the rest of the people to come then we had our dinner then desert. Then the teachers Mrs H and Mrs B said nice kind words to us then all of our year 6 class got theses really amazing necklaces then it was the end of the graduation dinner then we went home . here is a photo of me

We have been using Pear Deck to help us learn more about sentence structure so that we can get better at noticing where one sentence ends and another one begins. This should also help us get better scores for punctuation. This a screenshot of an activity we did: first we had to highlight the noun and verb parts of the sentences and then we had to decide where the full stops and capital letters should go.

Lambs are cute. The Lamb looks like a white cloudy pillow . Its hair is curlier than a snail. Her pink tongue is paler than a rose.

Auckland zoo trip 2017

This week, we went to Auckland zoo on a Zoofari trip. We went on a bus to Auckland. We slept in the old elephant house. We had sleeping bags to sleep in so we didn't get cold.

I am working on an animal report about kangaroos and I saw one. It was bigger than I thought it would be.

After dinner, we went for a walk and after the walk we got to see what all the animals ate. Some of the foods were so weird and some things people could eat like, Marmite on toast but mostly they were foods only for animals like leaves.

this week we have been writing recounts and we were looking at success criteria using  two metaphors's and two similes.

        Jizsiah’s Birthday

Mum, me, my brother and  my stepdad said,  “Hello Jizsiah, happy birthday!” excitedly as we  gave our present to him. My stepdad is a kind angel. After he opened his present we made a cake and  more yummy food. Then we went to go and stick the decorations on the walls. The decorations sparkled like sequins. Then we went out to go and get my nana, went back home and waited for my step dad.

Do you like cake?  My step dad had come then we had some cake and some yummy, yummy food. When we finished the yummy food we sat down to watch some movies. Then then it was time to take my nana home.

Broom broom!! The car started . We drove to go shopping and we got some new clothes for Jizsiah. Back home we went to go and change Jizsiah. He looked so cool like a spy in  his suit and we all said,” Awww! So cute.” Then Jizsiah had a sleep and we had a rest from a big, big day-  Jizsiah’s birthday.

Water Safety in the pool

 Today the water safety ladies came to school to show us different ways to be safe in the water.

We have learnt about water safety in the pool.If two or three people are drowning in the ocean they can huddle together or make a line and kick to safety. Now I know how I  can help people if they are in trouble in water.

To Auckland    3.2.17

                                             Here is my first recount for 2017

My mum said we were going to Auckland  we were so excited we  pack up  to go Auckland and we zoomed to the car.

Broom broom! the car went, we zoomed to Auckland  and we saw my cousins Ashton and Adoni and my two little cousins. They got so excited that they nearly bowled me over.

We got dinner. After dinner we played and later we went to bed. We got up in the morning and zoomed out the door to go and play on the the park, we got all dizzy  so we zoomed  back to  play at home. I had a rest and then it was dark then  me and Adoni zoomed to the  fireworks. When we woke up, papa asked us if we wanted to go for a walk. We all got ready but then my cousins weren't allowed to go  because their dad said so. I asked my mum and she said yes and I was allowed. I was happy and we went for a walk, Papa, Nana and me.

One week later we had to go home. Broom broom! The car started then we zoomed back home, then into town to get something to eat because we were hungry.

It was nice to see my cousins .
