Narrative Writing
We are learning about the parts of a narrative. Here is a story I wrote about a dinosaur.
By Cassidy
The Vicious Dinosaur
Once there lived a vicious dinosaur in a dark, damp, cold forest. The dinosaur stomped and stomped all the way to the freezing blue river. There were two men soldiers in a little wooden boat fishing for their dinner. Their names were Paddy and Chad.
“Yummm! They look yummy,” said the dinosaur. The dinosaur stepped into the murky brown water. Suddenly the dinosaur was sinking in the muddy water. The dinosaur roared. “HA HA!” said Paddy and Chad.
Paddy and Chad paddled all the way back to their dusty old house and lived happily ever after. The dinosaur died all alone in the river.

WINTER
Winter blows its cold icy breath everywhere.
The early morning frost is crunchy and white covering the green grass.
The loud wind howls in the freezing air like a stray dog hungry for a bone.
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,
Tiny snowflakes flutter down to land on the frozen ground,
covering everything with a white sparkling blanket.
The trees become bare, brown bones standing like statues admiring the view.
Heavy rain falls from the dark grey sky, pounding against the soggy ground.
Chilly bitterness in the air, winter is here.
Here is my writing

Autumn - Published
Swish! The wind blows the leaves. The wind blows the leaves from the trees. It was three years later. The leaves got crunchier and crinklier like an old grandma. Some trees are all green. Yay! It is green now. These leaves are better than the old crunchier ones. Autumn leaves are too crunchy and old.
